How to build a hair wash routine

Your wash routine can make a massive difference to the overall health of your hair. It is what resets your hair, it is what creates a balanced canvas for you to perfect your styling process. But in order to build a wash schedule that is effective, you need to get to know your hair.

There are five things that you need to address when it comes to your wash routine

  1. A scalp treatment
  2. Washing your hair
  3. Deep Conditioning your hair
  4. Strengthening your hair
  5. Clarifying your hair

Now before we get into it, I want to point out that I am relatively lazy when it comes to a beauty routine. But what I do like to do is be proactive about steps so that I have less issues to deal with. This translates to having a healthy hair routine so that I have less damage and general scalp issues and it can feel like my hair routine is effortless.

Washing your hair is a critical step for your scalp. It is what helps to reset the scalp to ensure that it is healthy and striving. For your hair it helps to remove product residue and buildup so that your hair doesn’t feel weighed down.

We are not discussing styling or any other non-wash day related items. We are strictly talking about your wash schedule with the intention to give you guidance that can be applied for any hair type.

Lastly, I know this might seem overwhelming, but I ask you to give it a chance. Balancing out your hair needs can alleviate a lot of issues that you may have whether that is dry hair, frizz, hair fall, breakage and more
